I filed for an appeal and it's a custody issue an the kids' school issue in a civil court. The lower court sent paperwork to the court of appeals. What is the procedure for the appelate court? Can I bring additional evidence that was not brought during the trial? For example, my ex said that he had low income at trial and I could bring in the statements that he had a lot of money at that time and now. Also, if there was evidence that was given to the lower court during the trial, what do I need to do to make sure that the Appelate court has it? Since this issue is only a part of the record, we asked the lower court to "designate a record" and pull out only parts that we need for this particular issue. I am in Louisiana.
Thank you.
