Colorado Post 18 Emancipation

Hi all, I have a friend who's over 18 but still in High school. She wants to move out from the parent she lives with, and has a place to go but her mom is saying that she's not emancipated until she's out from high school. Now I can't find anywhere in the CRS where is says this, the closest I can find is from 13-102-101

"(1) Notwithstanding any other provision of law enacted or any judicial decision made prior to July 1, 1973, every person, otherwise competent, shall be deemed to be of full age at the age of eighteen years or older for the following specific purposes:"

Which include "(d) To make decisions in regard to his own body and the body of his issue, whether natural or adopted by such person, to the full extent allowed to any other adult person."

which I guess would include moving out and living on her own.

Any thoughts? can anyone else find what I'm apparently missing?

You're not missing anything. By law, she is considered an adult at age 18.

That said, as a true friend, you'll make sure she finishes school, right?
