Your friend is marrying a U.S. citizen with a criminal history and no proof of income? If the citizen is unable to execute an affidavit of support, it may be difficult for her to immigrate on the basis of the marriage. She should consult an immigration lawyer.
Thank you. We will consult an immigration lawyer on this. You mentioned the affidavit of support and that will be no problem because his mother can sponsor them. Will the criminal record play any affect though?
You would need to consult with an immigration attorney. The criminal record might be a reason of inadmissibility and the denial of the AOS. Your attorney would have to employ any possible waiver techniques to avoid any adverse consequences.
The Affidavit of Support should not be a problem.
