    Default Emancipation In Ohio

    i am 16 soon to be seventeen in northern ohio. Myself and close friends to the family have been thinking and they think it would be best and easier on me to get out of the house. but i dont know about this emancipation law stuff.i am 16 soon to be seventeen a close friend to the family said that they would be able to support me with no promblem but my mom wont let me out of the house.

    Ohio has no provision in the law for emancipation.

    And even if it did, living with someone else and having them support you is NOT emancipation and would not qualify you for it.

    Until you are 18, you live where your parents say you live.
