Employee 30hr week reduced to PT hours. Became incapacitated 2+weeks (after hour reduction) as a result of unaddressed injury by employer that worsened. While receiving medical treatment for a few weeks I was 'let go'. Out of financial necessity I applied for UI one day but the next day knew I couldn't physically hold a job right then. Called UI and asked what to do....told ' don't do anything and the claim will be inactive." Weeks later received official FORM to withdraw claim. Its due tomorrow according to the handwritten note with it. Afraid it could interfere with future benefits.
Q-----Should I be?

The employer also filed a WC claim but at the same time contested it. I need time to gather evidence to substantiate the claim but am being rushed by WC insurer & state WC people. I am afraid they will schedule a hearing before I prepare my case. Former employer has information I need. I know I need an attorney and AM working to find an employee friendly one that will represent me.

Advice...I'm sick and I am tired.
