    Your old doc is apparently unfamiliar with HIPAA regulations that require him to give you your records?

    You can search for attorneys in your area with Martindale, or call your local Bar Association for recommendations.

    I'm so sorry your former doc was so unethical. Go get him, girl.

    A way around the unwilling Dr is to get a hold of the medical records from the Hospital/Surgery Center that you had the surgery performed at, they too should have a copy. The HOSPITAL owns those records and you shouldn't have those kind of problems dealing with them.
