Question Having To Pay Spousal Support For Lifetime

Do you always have to pay spousal support for lifetime? When ex doesn't marry again? Married for 25 years, separated in 2004, divorce still in works. Ex didn't work that much all those years. Now works and makes some money. Still-husband doesn't make that much money either. In California. Thanks.

It will depend on the language in the judgment of the lawsuit.

Lifetime support is a given in California on a 25 year marriage. Very very common.
