6 Years ago my husband and I put up a manufactured home on some property that my parents are going to give us. This manufactured home is on a permenant foundation and much of the landscaping has semi permenent structures as well. We set up the house and were planning on spliting the property in the future. Due to cost this has not been done yet. My neighbor inherited a piece of property from his father that borders mine. There is a fence that seperates the properties and has been there for at least 30 years. My neighbor had a survey done when he built his house on the property next to ours and he discovered that what we had all thought was the property line, the fence, was not. According to the survey his property line starts in the center of my house to the fence. Then the other half of my house + a few feet of my yard, is on his mothers land ( who has property on the west side of my home), then my parents property starts.

The new neighbor is very nice about the whole thing and is willing to sign an agreement to have the property line be the fence line. However his mother does not agree. I know that there are legal remedies to this. I'm just not sure what they are. Help!
