Default Scammed By Someone 3000 Miles Away

okay so i was scammed out of $210 from someone that resides in oregon, i'm in new york

she also scammed various people out of at least an additional $510

i was able to track down her real name and home address through the internet, i plan on sharing this information with everyone she scammed as well

if anyone happens to know procedure for filing out-of-state police reports i would highly appreciate that information.

i'll also be posting this in the litigation forum, but if anyone happens to know about filing a small claims suit in a situation like this please let me know.

You file the report with your local police department.

You would file the lawsuit and see if the sheriff in your state will refer the service. If they will not you may have options to serve her by certified mail or by "publishing" in her city's large newspaper. After that you attend court, present the evidence to the judge as well as the service methods (she may refuse the certified maik) and get your default judgement.
