Question How Long Will It Take A Store To Send Civil Demand Customer Notice?

hi i got caught shoplifting like a week ago
at urban outfitters in new york,

they said the letter of civil demand customer notice (i think)
to my house but they didn't really let me know
    when its going to be
so i'm wondering if any of you guys know when it'd be.

it was my first time caught,
no cops, and it was $70 worth clothes..

is there an any chance that they are not gonna
send the letter? means i don't have to pay the fine..

or any way that i can find out how long its gonna take
like call some place to ask.. or something

i'm really nervous and i need to get this letter
    before my dad gets it...

oh and one more question is the letters gonna sent with
urban outfitters' name? or like some kind of gov. places name?

    thanks for helping me out

That letter is pretty much a guarantee it can take days weeks even months. Expect yours around $250.00

Your question about if they might not send it, the store isn't about to turn down money, you'll get the letter. Depending on how busy they are, it's impossible to predict when the letter will arive. It may coem from urban outfitters, or there lawyers, also impossible to predict. You're probably going to get a lot of practice in beating your dad to the mailbox. Thats the least of your problems if they decide to file criminal charges against you. Even if they didn't tell you about it, they can file charges up until the statue of limitations runs out, which is usually a year or two. Then you'll have way more fines to pay as well as the threat of a criminal record.

Is this the same state as the original poster?

You should try to post to one of your existing threads. This helps to avoid any confusion.
