    Default Terminated For Not Traveling

I was hired by a company to work at one of their locations in my town. After a couple of weeks they wanted me to travel to a location two hour away ( 4 hours roundtrip). I was hired to work locally.

They now want me to drive from my house to the local store ( which I have no problem with) pick up a company truck drive two hours then clock in, then work my shift, then clock out, drive back to the local store leave the company truck, and the return home.

I refused and was terminated for insubdination. I beleive that I should be paid for my hours traveling for them. I am hourly not salary.

    Do I have any recourse?

To file for unemployment, yes. To sue your employer, no. Your termination was legal.

IF you had done the travel and not been paid, you would have had legal recourse. However, refusing to do the travel WAS insubordinate, which is a termination offense.
