I recently worked for a Texas apartment management company that offered a severance package for employees who stayed thru the duration of a property sale. I stayed thru the closing date and now the company is coming up with reasons that they are refusing to pay the monies promised to me. Their excuse was that there were a few purchase orders that were issued for carpet replacements that had a variance to the actual invoice once it arrived. (It was common to estimate the cost of carpet replacement and then adjusting the purchase order when the bill came in). Basically, just an excuse not to pay me. They have a habit of not paying their debts. Is there anything I can do to get the one months pay that I was promised.![]()
