Thanks for the thought. She's alleging I fired her on the 8th and filed for UI on the 8th. Her hours were flexible so I didn't think anything of it until the 11th. I left her a message and she didn't respond and on the 14th of received the UI claim. Even though I provided proof of paying someone else to do her job for the same pay and hours, they ruled in her favor. Since she previously told me if her friend didn't work here, she wouldn't either, I'm not surprised she's gone. I just thought if she quit, I'd be covered. I never thought of her lying and saying I fired her when I didn't.
