Default Mother Of My Child Has Disappeared

    My situation is this

My child's mother and I didn't have a relationship whatsoever before we became parents. Nonetheless we had a child together. The relationship is so empty that I have only basic information on her: Her first and last name, her new last name since she's been married and her SSN. That's basically it.

She was married in 2005 and moved her and my son to Colorado and I am currently unable to locate her. I have been told that the custodial parent is supposed to inform the non-custodial child support paying parent of all new location information. I have reached out to the DCF for mediation and they said that she is unlocateable. I am currently living (and was born and raised) in St. Louis. The last time we spoke (in early 2006) she said that she planned on moving back to St. Louis.

Since then every number that I have on her is disconnected. I have no address on her, information that will lead me to any relatives. Don't know her husband's first or last name. I know that he is in the military, not sure what branch.

I have been actively paying child suppot since it was filed on me while my son was actively in my life almost daily wen we all lived in St. Louis. I am at the end of my rope. What are my options? Who do I call? How much should I be prepaed to spend.

I know this is very unresponsible behavior on my part and hers as far as communication is concerned, but I am here for help on how to solve his.

PLESE HELP! Any advice is welcome

Ho do you pay her child support? Directly?
If so, stop paying. Put that money aside for now. If you stop paying, it won't be too long before she comes out of hiding.
Edit: Due to the fact that i just woke up, I'd like to apologize for being dumb. If you were paying her directly, you'd know where she lives, so, my new answer is this....
You must be using a 3rd party to pay her right? Go through them, see if they can tell you. If she's getting money from you, whoever is getting it to her has to know where she is.

I have no idea who this infinity guy is that all of a sudden comes out of the woodworks to give bad and legally inaccurate advice, but he really is working my nerves.

First of all OP, let's start at the beginning. There is obviously a legal adjudication of paternity, if you have been paying support, however, you make no mention of whether there is a custody/visitation order in effect. Only then, would the mother of your child be responsible for giving you her address, if the court order requires that type of disclosure. CSE rarely gets involved in issues of parents moving, so long as they know where to collect and where to send the check. They also don't get involved in issues of custody. So we need to start there.

As for Mr. Infinity, there can be no parental abduction, if there is no custody order and that, you have no idea if it exists.
