Default How To Recover From Bankruptcy

I am starting over once again. I know for a fact that I will not have to do the following things:

    1. rent an apartment(re-newed my lease)
    2. get a new car insurance company(re-newed my policy and reduced it.)
    3. Look for a job where credit is checked(been here for 27yrs)
    4. get one credit card(credit union gave me one)

But things I will have to do and have no idea what the outcome will be is this:
    1. get another leased car when this lease ends in june 2008
    2. if lease is refused, buy another car when lease ends june 2008
    3. buy another laptop with monthly payments(Dell included in BK)
    4. fine any seminars online or live dealing with recovering from a bankruptcy
If you guys have any information, it would be greatly appreciated.

    My $0.005 cents worth.

I've been there also (unfortunately) due to employment circumstances. However, there are a few valuable things I've learned:

    1. Make a budget and stick to it!

    2. Purchase only what is an absolute necessity and within your budget

    3. If you do use your credit card, pay the balance IN FULL each month

    4. Pay any other bills on time each month

As long as you have steady income you should have absolutely no trouble financing a car once your lease ends. You can walk onto a car lot the day you get your discharge in hand and finance a brand new car. Your interest rate may not be fantastic, but chances are it will be better than it would have been while you were carrying all that debt.

Financing a laptop may be a bit more difficult, you may want to try to avoid this and purchase one outright. If not, then try Gateway, or even try to get a personal loan from a company like Capital 1 in order to purchase the laptop.

Main thing when recovering from Bankruptcy is don't rush out and get yourself back in the same boat again, because you will find that you will begin to get credit card offers again, you will be solicited by finance companies, and it will all be very tempting because it will make you think you are back on track creditwise. Be careful.
