We are looking at buying a Mobile home on a couple of acres in Texas and due to issues with credit, want to do a owner finance with the owner who is very excited about the idea of selling instead of renting, and likes the idea of owner financing it for us. But we are not sure how to draw up a contract that covers both of us legally. Neither of us (seller/buyer) are ready to actually go through the closing/escrow portion of a real estate purchase. Can we do an actual real estate sales agreement with promissory note, without the escrow, title policy, and survey until the end of the agreed purchase amount has been paid?
