    Post Visitation Rights

I have a daughter who is 6 months old now . Me and my girlfriend have broken up and I would like to get visitation rights to my daughter. I don't have a lot of money and wonder where I can go to get free advice on how I should do this. I am not listed on the birth certificate, but my girlfriend is not contesting that I am not the farther. Will I have to prove that this is my baby by getting a DNA test first.

Legal visitation rights (as opposed to her just letting you spend time with the child) will require a court's order. You can expect to establish paternity with a DNA test AND to be ordered to pay child support. Visit the website for your county court and look in the Family Law section to find out the procedure in your area and to get copies of forms and publications that can help to walk you through the process.
