I'm moving out in a week into my own place closer to school so I won't need to drive anymore. So my parents are dropping my insurance coverage on my car. I had called in AAA to ask if I would still be covered when I came home on holidays to drive. They said I would still be covered under my mother's insurance for the car.
However, my folks are still pondering and their English isn't too well to want to talk over the phone and I'm currently out of town, so I was wondering if I could have a quick response since it's been pondering on my mind for a while now and I don't have the documents to call AAA with.
If they cover me under my mother's insurance, does that only include damages to the car itself, or would it include all of her premium coverage including personal injury and hospital bills? My mother's fear is that I come home, borrow the car, get into a horrible accident, and no one will cover my medical bills (God forbid).
Can anyone shed some light? I'll be sure to call AAA when I get back, but it's one of those thoughts that itch your mind until you figure it out. Thanks!
