    Default Assault

My 16 year old cousin got into a fight at school. The girl and her have had multiple problems this year in which she has threatened to beat her up. Resulting in her suspension twice.

The other girl claims that the fight was because she had "narked out" one of my cousin's friends. But, my cousin has said that the only reason she fought this girl was because she has been talking badly about her.

During the fight the other girl obtained a few bruises, but nothing major. Now my cousin is facing felony charges for assault and tampering with a witness. She has already been suspended the rest of the school year and will probably get expelled. She has been in the juvenile detention center for the last two weeks, without a chance to bail out. The girl's parents are also trying to get a civil case against my Aunt.

I know this is a very vague description.. But, what can I expect the outcome of this to be? Time? $$$? Probation?

    Default Re: Assault

Oh and she has no priors. This would be her first offense.
