Default Officer's Report Shows Different Speed Than Is On The Ticket

i received a ticket for doing 38 in a 30 but his report he filed says 48 in a 30. This ticket was given in a speed trap where the speedlimit changed twice in a short period. i know i prolly can't fight the fact that the speedlimit wasn't posted but i think i can protest the error on the ticket and his report. can anyone shed any light to this
    thanks in advance

    Default Ticket versus Report

Perhaps you were going 48 in a 30, and he cut you a break? Or is this a clerical error? If so, is the error to your benefit on the ticket (i.e., you really were going 48 in a 30), or against you in the report?

An error in the report doesn't prejudice you, as you are ticketed at a lower speed. However, it may be useful to convince the court that the officer's recollection is inaccurate, depending upon exactly what happened.
