    Default Landlord Filed Bankruptcy

I rent a house in Florida. It was a year lease, not up until Aug 2008. My landlord just told me he has filed for bankruptcy and the property will be returned to the banks when the bankruptcy is finished. Until the bankruptcy is finalized do we not pay anyone (he said he is not allowed to accept money for the property anymore)? When it is finalized is our lease null and void? If so, do we have a reasonable amount of time to move? Someone said they had to pay you out until when your lease would have ended if the lease is terminated in such a way, is this true? What do we do? Who should we contact? Thanks!!

The eventual foreclosure, not the bankruptcy, will terminate your lease.

After foreclosure some lenders will give "cash for keys", meaning that if you're a tenant in a foreclosed property they will agree to give you money if you move out by a specified date, and leave the premises in good condition.
