Default How long before shoplifting charges must be filed?

ok so my incident was 5 month ago, and it was in London.

The LP found something that i took from other shop as well.

But he did not report to police. He said he's going to give the goods i took to the other store.

In such case, will he give my imformation to other store when he give the things back? And can the other store procecute me based on the information given?

Also, how long does the store usually have to prosecute me?

Also, is my case referral to rehabilitation of offender's Act?

    Default Shoplifting in the UK

If the police weren't summoned, and the loss prevention officer said he wouldn't be makign a report, they probably won't become involved.

I'm skeptical of the loss prevention officer's intentions. That is, what you describe sounds sufficiently unprofessional such that it wouldn't surprise me if this person kept the item you stole from the other store.
