    Default Driver's License?

    Aaron:
I know this may sound like a silly question, but MUST you have a Driver's License to register a vehicle and obtain auto insurance(in New York, in case it varies by state)?
I have my reasons for needing to know the answer to this. I hope you do.
    Thanks a lot.

    Default New York Car Registration

The requirements for registering a car in New York can be found here. From that, it appears that you can register a car with valid ID and proof of insurance, with no requirement that you display a driver's license.

However, obtaining insurance without proof of a driver's license is likely to be difficult. An insurance company may be willing to issue a policy for a stored vehicle - and you should probably approach them for quotes in that context.
