Default Alienation Of Affection in Mississippi

My wife and I just divorced. this comes from me finding out that she had an affair with a co worker that is married. I first filled for divorce under adultery naming him and to make things go quick and in my favor we finished filing under irreconcilable differences. Can I go after him for alienation of affection with proof that he persued her with emails and telephone calls and this is what led to the final divorce? Did changing the reason for divorce hurt me in going after him? How long do I have to go after him? thanks for any advice.

Aaron has posted relevant case law here.

There is no "alienation of affection" statute in MS - rather, the state simply allows such suits to be brought.
