I'm sorry - I read your post as if he was NOT seeing them every other weekend or in the summer. My bad. I do not know the law in your state - but in mine you can ask for a modification to child support once a year, provided there has been a change in circumstances or in income of +/- 10%. Hopefully another poster will know the legalities in your state

The problem with contacting the local child services revolves around my ex-sister-in-law's reputation with the community. We live in a small rural community, and her family is fairly well off financially. She is a well-respected teacher in the community and leader in her small-town church. Because of her status, few people acknowledge or care to comment on her neglectful behavior

Social services has to by law inquire to all complaints and the person making the call is protected as well. Chances are because of her status, that they will make sure all of their "i" are dotted and "t's" are crossed.
