Default Drug Paraphernalia - Should I Plead Not Guilty Or No Contest

I was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia in texas.

i got a deal with the district attorney the other day:
    $100 fine plead guilty or
$200 no contest: this is for deferred adjudication, which includes a drug and alcohol class and 12 hrs of community service.

what is the difference on your record between the two? Is deferred a conviction or not? if it isn't do i still have to answer yes on a job application that i've been convicted?

    thanks.

If you take deffered you will not have a conviction on your record
