Domestic Charge Against Me In Michigan

Friday night I was pushed by my boyfriend. I started to fight back. He is in a legal custody battle with an ex wife. To protect himself, he called the police and held me down and wouldn't let me leave. I feel like I was set up for him to protect himself. He was afraid that if I left I would press charges against him that would harm his divorce/custody case. To make a long story short, I ended up in jail that night trying to protect myself and never gave a statement to the police. My ex boyfriend dropped the charges before I went in front of the judge at the police station that next morning.

What are my rights here? Can I still file something against him? Because my charges were dropped before I even was sentenced could something still be on my record?
