Default U.S. Citizenship For Child of a Diplomat

if a child was born in the United States when the father was a diplomat and the child now already 30 years old lives in VA, has family and children, works for government, has a good moral, pays taxes. Can he still be a U.S Citizen??? How?

Default Re: U.S. Citizenship For Child of a Diplomat

As a diplomat isn't subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, birthright citizenship doesn't automatically flow to the diplomat's child. This person can discuss the details of his or her birth with an immigration lawyer.

The person may be eligible to immigrate through a U.S. citizen spouse.
