Default Verifying Address Of Emancipated Daughter In North Carolina

Hi, im posting this here seing how it pertians to the emancipation of my daughter.

My Daughter, a North Carolina resident, is currently living with her common-law husband and raising their 6 mos child. She is 16 and her mother is stateing that she is currently still under her care.

I know this to be false, so im in the process of establishing proof of residency. How can i go about establishing residency in one domicile as opposed to the other.

One idea i had was sending a Certified letter addressed to my Daughter.

Im sure there are more ways to establish this in order to show the courts.
    Any ideas would be appreciated.

"Common Law Marriage" traditionally entails living together and holding the relationship forth publicly as husband and wife for a period of 7 or 14 years.

The impossibility of this being the case with your daughter aside, there is no common law marriage in North Carolina.

In North Carolina, the age of termination of child support is when child turns 18, or if child is in high school, when child turns 20 or graduates from high school, whichever is first.

Having a child and living with her boyfriend does not necessarily constitute emancipation. If her mother is still providing financial support and the child is not self-sufficient (employed and supporting herself), she is most likely not considered emancipated in North Carolina.

If the CHILD is living with her boyfriend (is the BF 18 or older?), you should file for emergency custody based on the parental negligence of the mother. When is the last time you had visitation with your daughter? Where did you pick her up from? And how old is the father of her child? How old was your daughter when she got pregnant?

Doing the Math your daughter is 16 she has a 6 mos old child is an adult BF!

16 - 6 mos she still 16 (maybe) subtract 9 months to carry child and this means child was concieved while your daughter was not age of consent! Why have not any rape charges been filed!? Furthermore Mom allowing her to live with BF may not be legal as well as you were not consulted. I dont feel common law applies either

Question Re: Verifying Address Of Emancipated Daughter In North Carolina

Guys , Girls, I agree to all of it. and my hands are tied in that aspect, when i found out she was pregnant i rasied all hell, but ultimately i was told it was none of my business, Why??? im the non custodial parent, thats why?

But that aside, we are missing the point to my original post. Maybe I posted, or worded it wrong.

I wish to prove her residency, her address where she is currently living .
Im using Certified Mail via the Postal Service, are there any other ways??
