Default Is It Better To Expunge Or To Have Charges Reduced To Infraction

Hey guys as discussed in another post I was charged with a very small DFG misdemeanor and only fined $90. Anyways I want to have a future in law enforcement, Im wondering is it better to have the charged expunged or try and have it reduced to an infraction. With expungement it would say dismissed but I would still have to say YES I WAS Conficted but charges dismissed. Infraction I wouldn't have to say but it should still show guilt. What is generally better to try and do? Have the charges reduced or expunged?

It's my understanding that with expungement, one is legally permitted to proceed as if the offense never occurred. In other words, I don't believe you are required to disclose your prior record if it has been expunged.

You should consult with a competent attorney in your area.
