Default Unpaid Child Support and Tax Return

Hello, my ex took over 3k from me last year in unpaid child support when I filed. I was working in Texas and was unemployed, so it hurt bad, but oh well. I live in IL now and she cannot garnish my wages from here, I have not paid any child support this year and the only W-2 I have filled out was an IL company. Can she still take my money again this year if she lives in TX and I live and work in IL? I am almost certin she can, cause its federal money, but I would just like to make sure. I am hoping there is a shred of hope here, being as she cannot garnish my wages from TX. Yeah I sound like a dead beat dad here, but you have no idea what my ex is all about, so please keep your personal comments to yourself. (sorry, i need to defend myself there, don't take it personal :/ )

    Thanks in advance.

And...your wages can also be garnished, even if you are in IL.
