Default Customer Will Not Allow Us To Make The Work Right

We provide shower enclosure installation services in Florida. We have had several incidents where a customer feels that there is something wrong with the installation (i.e. scratch on glass) and refuses to let us replace the glass and also refuses to pay the balance owed.

Is there any law that requires that the customer allow us to complete or fix the installation to their satisfaction so that we can collect our balance? Or should we just place a lien on the property until they pay or at least give us a chance to make the work right?

You can write it off, file a lien, or sue for the balance owed. They can sue or countersue over any claimed defect in the work.

You should consider expressly addressing this contingency in your contract for services.
