    Unhappy Investor Rip Off

Three years ago in Texas my wife and I wanted to buy a new home. Our credit was mediocore. We had consulted investors about buying the home for us. The realtor selling the home weaseled in on an opportunity and discouraged our potential investors (that was a sign we should have seen) . He told us that his family were investors (They could never meet with us). He told us that if we paid $10,000 to buy the home they would purchase the home for us and we had three years to put the home in our name. He had us to sign a lease agreement to pay $2,700/month . I later found out he got a intrest only loan and was paying approx $1,000/month or less. During our stay he would always say to us this is your home do what you like. He was the landlord and refused to put blinds in the home (he said it is our home). Well after two years I experienced an life threating incident and now a witness to a miracle. A bullet richochet off my head. I had brain surgery and thank God I am still alive) Well, our financial situation changed. We could not afford to pay the monthly lease. We asked to deferr payment or work out something not to lose or so-called investment. Needless to say we were forced to move and investment gone down the drain. My family has not been able to regroup since the move. Is there any thing we could do legally or is this an expensive lesson in real estate?

I suggest consulting a lawyer in your state about the possibility of proving some sort of fraud case.
