Where To View Criminal Records

Where do you go to view public records? What information do you need about a person to get the records? A friend of mine was fired for being arrested for something non job related. I would like to see if anyone else that works there has been arrested for anything. It doesn't seem fair that if others were arrested for anything they didn't get fired. Right? It should apply to everyone. Can you search records by job the person had at time of arrest? Thanks.

Availability of criminal records, and the cost of obtaining a copy from an official source, varies by state. There are subscription services which give you access to private databases of criminal records, but I'm not going to vouch for any given service.
