Cool Getting Out Of Being Power Of Attorney

I became POA for my mother about 3 years ago after her first stroke. I took care of selling of the farm and paying her medical bills. She had very little money left-over. She's had several strokes since and is now in a nursing home. We are in the process of getting her on Medicaid. I have done everything they've asked but the nursing home continues to be rude. Today she accused me of not coming to see my mother...which is not true.
Is there anyway that I can get out of being the POA. I can't take the stress the nursing home is putting me under.

I apologize if this is the wrong forum

You became "power of attorney" because your mother granted you a power of attorney? You don't have to serve if you don't wish to. You should explore the possibility of having a court appoint a guardian to attend to your mother's needs, under the laws of your state.
