Does this person's life need to resort to crime or is their other(legal) avenue's that need to be looked into. Where do we have this person turn to.

Is that supposed to make people want to help you?

He committed crimes. His choice. He didn't get an expungement; you chose not to tell us why.

As it stands, he's in the same position as tens of thousands of other people with records, and most of them find work. You're truly telling us he hasn't been able to work since 1989??

Sorry, I should of been a little bit more descriptive and a little less bitter. He did go to college and get a two year degree then worked as a food service manager until 2004 the store closed and then something changed in the application process, instead of the boxed question asking have you been convicted of a crime in the last 7 years (he aways was able to answer no) it was changed to have you ever been convicted of a crime. The expungement was turned down because the assault charge was a violent offense. (No one way hurt and probably would have gotten off with a paid laywer he was 19 at the time.).My friend is a probation officer here in Northwest Ohio and she say's alot of people in this situation have a hard time getting a job, also some people get jobs because of they know someone or family he has no family (except us) he spent his whole childhood in a children's home . One other thing I would add he has never received any welfare or any food stamps because his parents reason for putting him in the childrens(at two years old) was they didn't have the money to raise him. Now that is about as descriptive as I can get, what I would really like to know now is their anyway I can help him?
    Thanks for your time.

He can discuss with a lawyer whether the court might reconsider the rejection of expungement, or his changes if he pursues executive clemency (a pardon).
