Default Father Hid That He Was In Prison

I moved over 115 miles away from my exes family. He went to prison, and I had to meet his family half way, and they kept meeting me, and the family never told me for 3 months that he was in prison. He is out now, and I was wondering what if anything could I do about that. He was in prison for being a coke seller, and He was on probation, then he didn't go to rehab on time and violated his probation.

You could go back to court and ask for supervised visits, if you think he is a danger to the child. And you could ask for a right of first refusal clause put in also. Meaning, if he can't be with the kids for any reason, he would have to call you first, to see if you can watch them.

You won't be able to do anything now about your ex not informing you that he was in prison.

As the previous poster advised, if you feel and can PROVE that ex is a danger to his child, you can go back to court to ask for supervised visits. However, the key is that you'll have to have proof, and having been incarcerated for drug use/sale isn't likely to be enough proof, unless you have proof that he sold/used in the presence of the child.

It might just be a typo, but I noticed that in this thread you say that you moved OVER 115 miles away, yet in your other thread you say it was 95 miles. Just wondering which it really is because it can make a difference to the question you asked in your other thread. http://www.expertlaw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38697
