Exclamation Rights To Shared Septic Tank Withheld

Bought a house, in a residential zone, on property that was once part of the adjoining property. The septic tank for my property is on the adjoining property owned by someone else. The person owning the other property intends to make the property unusable by removing septic tank useage in order to force me to sell him the property at a ridiculous price. local ordinances prevent adding a septic tank to my property due to size of the lot. There is currently a house on my lot that will be affected by the lack of septic service. The sharing of the septice service was disclosed in my purchase. Do i have any recourse that I may use to get septic service from the other property or is there another way?

You need to contact a real estate attorney. You probably have an easement by necessity but that takes a court decision. Ask the attorney to file for an injunction to prevent removal of the septic tank.
