Your prior threads indicated you were charged with embezzlement from your employer & had not received your final pay. You also indicated you had an attorney.
They cannot withhold your final paycheck in Ca. However, due to your situation, I believe you should talk to your attorney. The "usual" procedure when not getting final wages is to file a lawsuit or put in a claim with the Ca DLSE.
yes i had a case against me that ended up in restitution and probation,
restitution was pay the same day of my court appearance, that was 2 weeks ago, I thought they would mail me my final checks, have not seen nothing. my attorney wants to charge me even more than my original case,
I was wondering if could do this on my own?
or do i have shopped around for another attorney?
