It isn't discrimination; it's just a guy with a big ego, who is self-important, who is a legend in his own mind, (he held a job previously in IT management and now he's working a help desk - wonder WHY that happened, eh?) and has the interpersonal skills of a dead mullet. He is a bully and a talking-to from bossie did not help, obviously. For two days he kept quiet and did not spend any time hovering over my cube (or anyone else's for that matter) but I have to say the blessed silence has been broken. But tonight, I got the upper hand on him, while bossie was well within earshot. When he started in with telling me how to do my job, I asked him "would you like to take this call?" to which he responded "No." I in turn, politely said "Then please leave me alone and let me do my job. I do not need you telling me how to do my work. I think I have a pretty good idea of what needs to be done here – I was changing these settings a minute ago. I mean it. If you don’t stop, I’m going to get up and walk out of here after this call.” This guy is just a bully and I am really tired of it. I am really starting to wonder if he's trying to make my work life here so difficult that I leave out of frustration. Which I won't.
