Need Help

ok im writing this on behalf of my neice..i would like coustody of her but i was rthinking that if she got emancipated it might go smoother.. she lives in houston county texas. her mother has no legal right. but her dad has coustody and he is an alcholic.. the situation that she is in in very bad.. she is constanly being talked down to and exposed to drinking. i think the last thing i heard about was her dad was really drunk and calling her bad names.. i need help to see what i can do to get this child out of this situation.. she reasently had a friend die as well and i really dont want her doing anything stupid or running away..she is at the moment 15 years of age..please help

To be emancipated she must be at least 16 years of age and living on her own. Emancipation is about self support (keyword self) It sounds as though your looking at something different. In order for this minor to live with you she must get consent from parents.

i know that they wont give concent..but its not good with her living there..whay could i do?

If shes being abused (mental, physical, emotional etc) contact CPS and file an abuse report outside of that there isnt anything you can do
