Default Assault Causing Bodily Harm in Toronto

Ok this is my situation, my charge is assault causing bodily harm, dont really want to get into details here, but that I went to court a few times, well more than a few times since late 2006, got a lawyer, was going to go to plea court and plead guilty because my lawyer said at first that things might go well for me as in even charge getting dropped. I have one minor offence and no adult criminal record. Good background with school and work. After hearing on the last day that I might get jail time and most likely dna sampling, i backed out and took my reports and now trying to set a date for trial with a new lawyer which i dont have yet. Im in toronto and just wondering what my options are since im not used to the court procedures. Also any advice on a good lawyer would be awesome because i have to appear soon. Thanks

This is a U.S.-centered forum, not a Canadian law forum, so your best bet is to ask your own lawyer about your case.
