    Default Compensation For Time Off To See a Workers Comp Doctor

    Texas. I had to take of to go to the doctor for a workers comp. Do you not get paid for the time you take off?

    Generally speaking, no. To get temporary income benefits, your injury must cause you to lose part or all of your income for more than seven days, so taking time off to see a doctor won't meet that threshold.
