Default Financial Transaction Device-Stealing/Retaining Without Consent

Recently I was commited of a felony with the charge "Financial Transaction Device-Stealing/Retaining Without Consent." I confessed to the charges and turned myself into the police which i was then turned over to the court to be arraigned the same day. I was appointed an attorney by the court and I have to appear in court again in a few days for a Pre-Examination.
Another problem is I am on probation for pety theft.
My record is clean besides these two charges.
Does anyone have an idea of the possible charges that I may be facing and is there anyway I could get out of jail time?
I would rather have years and years of probation and fines.
    Is that even an option?

Make restitution, and clean up your act?

Your lawyer is the best person to speak with, in relation to how you might avoid jail.
