    Question Gas Siphon

Hello, I live in Texas and will soon be living in Pennsylvania. A friend of mine is driving me up to PA with him, and considering this will be around $200 in gas, if paid for, he was wondering exactly what kind of trouble you would get into if you were caught siphoning, and stealing, gas from another persons car. Does anyone know what siphoning gas would be considered legally? And what sort of sentence you could get, if taken to court?

    Unhappy Re: Gas Siphon

It was not helping plan, just helping keep him out of trouble, he's obviously not going to do that if I can tell him he will get in any real trouble for it, but he will probably do it if it's as little as getting a fine for less than the trips worth of gas is worth. In any case, I can't control him. The reason for my post here was so that you could tell me what he's getting himself into, so that I can tell him what he's getting himself into, so that maybe he will reconsider.
Are you really sorry? I can't accept the apology if you don't mean it, and I get the vibe that you're not sorry.. I just want someone to care about me....

If he wants to stay out of trouble, he should buy his gas.

It may cost him his life if he siphons gas from the wrong persons tank. In my husband's old neighborhood a man was beaten and douse in the gas he stole from cars and set on fire. No one in the neighborhood ever came forth to say who light the match.
