Ohio
How can the law change what has already been assigned? The new "Adam Walsh" law kicks into effect in Ohio at the beginning of the year... I'm just curious how a sex offender who has say... 3 years to go can be given an additional 15 or however much they are given... can you give me an insight on this one? It's confusing... I as a normal person who knows NOTHING about law think it's rather silly that a sex offender who has been on perfect behavior be given more time. The offender does not attend functions that he feels shouldn't be attended, has only committed the crime once (in which he is registering for currently), and has no previous past of sexual misconduct. I am not a sex offender but I am related to one and even though this isn't happening to me directly, I am very very upset about it and need to understand why this is happening? He is the lowest grade of sex offenders right now, but is being told he will be a tier II... it just doesn't make any sense to me... Thank You!!
