    Default N-400 Application

I have been married to a US Citizen for about 8 years, and finally concluded that I should get naturalized.
Here is my question, I can potentially file under both eligibility requirements since I have been a permanent resident for over 5 years, even though my spouse originally sponsored me.
Am I correct with this assumption or should I file under option B.

    Thanks for your response.

I would personally choose option B.

Many of people that I know, who have been green card holders more than 5 year through marriage to US Citizen, have chosen to go with 5 year residency requirement for Naturalization application. I asked several people for the reason and they all answered because it requrires less supporting documents. You don't need to send copies of joint bank account, join tax filing, joint morgage or rental contracts and such, when you file as 5 yr residency.
