Default Long Delay In Getting a Green Card

    Hello everyone

    1. My dad married a US citizens. We have our green cards since 2001. In 2003 it was time to remove the conditions, we filed a I-751 in 2003, we received a letter saying that they will send us our appointment and we still haven;t got our interview. Is this normal (We are in Miami if that might helps) How long has it taken for anyone else out there to get their interview???

    2. At the time of the I-751 filling, I was 19. I got a letter saying
that I am a dependent of my dad and our case is "attach" together (the receipt was called "verification of inclusion of a dependent filing
with principal alien...my dad") Well now im 21. If my dad files for citizenship, will I be included with him or will I have to file my own (my dad could file now cause he's married to a US citizens,(it only takes 3 yrs)Would I have to wait 1 more year for a total of 5 yrs)???

Hopefully someone can answer this. Especially the 1st questions.

    Thanks for responding

    Default Application for Citizenship

The delay you describe seems excessive. Have you made any effort in the past two years to verify that it was properly filed and remains pending?

If your application was in proper form when submitted, it is unlikely that your passing the age of 21 (or 18) would have any impact on its validity.

I made a lot of efforts. I checked many times with Texa. They contacted the Miami office and sent us a case status letter saying: Ready for Interview scheduling Miami District.

I tried to contact Miami many times without any answers. We filled all the form out properly since we receive our receipt and everything. We are not waiting for our citizenship but for the removal of conditions interview. Apparently Miami office takes a while because there are so many immigrants down here. Who could i contact to know?

What do u mean by "it's unlikely that you are passing the age of 21" I just dont get the last sentence you wrote. Could you specify.

Thank you so much for responding
