Default Trying To Get The Security Deposit Back On A Foreclosed Rental Property

Hello I am in need of some help my family and i just moved out of a condo where it was foreclosed on and things where fine until we asked for the security deposit. Now he has to wait for the bank to calculate everything the bank will charge him before he will give us the security deposit. Is there any reason he would have to wait for the bank before he can give it back. our lease was up in October of this year here in florida. What can i do to get my money back

    thank you

    G

You don't have to wait. If he doesn't pay you, you can sue him in small claims court. I suspect that the problem is that he doesn't have any money to pay you.
