    Default Unfit Living Conditions

    Hello,

I am in the state of Arizona.

Custodial parent has six dogs and five cats, among other numerous smaller animals, all of which are kept inside the home. Kids' clothes smell terrible, like animal waste, which has been noticed by both non-custodial parent and the babysitter. CPS stopped by once (after making an appointment, so custodial parent had a chance to clean up) and told the parent to replace the carpets, as they have been ruined by animal filth.

It is my assumption that CPS will take no further action unless there are allegations of physical abuse. As far as I know, custodial parent's discipline habits are harsh but not abusive.

Is there anything that can be done about the general sanitation of the home?

This is your third thread on this general subject, and I don't think you're going to get new answers. It sounds like it's time to hire a lawyer and discuss the case with your lawyer.

    Aaron:

Thought maybe I wasn't getting answers to this particular question because I was posting in the wrong forum. I did obtain answers on my other questions (which, FYI, were on different topics- childcare costs and how to solve the issue of parental alienation), thank you.

I have a lawyer, am just trying to figure out the right topics to bring up with him. Thanks for the reality check.

I'm not trying to discourage anyone from answering.
