Hello,
I am in the state of Arizona.
Custodial parent has six dogs and five cats, among other numerous smaller animals, all of which are kept inside the home. Kids' clothes smell terrible, like animal waste, which has been noticed by both non-custodial parent and the babysitter. CPS stopped by once (after making an appointment, so custodial parent had a chance to clean up) and told the parent to replace the carpets, as they have been ruined by animal filth.
It is my assumption that CPS will take no further action unless there are allegations of physical abuse. As far as I know, custodial parent's discipline habits are harsh but not abusive.
Is there anything that can be done about the general sanitation of the home?
